After the Turkish invasion most of the builing on R\u00f6merstrasse 1726 was destroyed and subsequently rebuilt. In the past it served as a hostel, a mailing station and eventually as a coaching inn. Due to the optimal location this guesthouse\/tavern was known from many Western business men and Hungarians too. Ungarische Krone has been offering accommodation, warm food and drinks to travellers for centuries.
